Biogeochemistry | Environmental Sciences | Sustainability

About me and my work

Our environment is changing more rapidly now than ever. I am interested in understanding changing biogeochemical cycling across the terrestrial and aquatic spheres. How can we ensure sustainable use of resources for future generations? How does this connect to policy and governance? Why is some carbon sequestered for centuries or millenia, whilst some is respired within a few years? Read more here.

I received my PhD from the ETH Zurich and has studied at Utrecht University. My research incorporates a range of field, analytical and statistical techniques aimed at attaining a better understanding of changing biogeochemical cycles.

My teaching encompasses Earth and Environmental Sciences, with a focus on biogeochemistry and statistics.
